This weekend is Halloween. It’s the time of year when kids (and adults) dress up like their favorite reality show character and go door to door expecting candy instead of pennies or fruit. I’ll admit that I’m not a huge fan of Halloween. I enjoyed it as a kid, but now I just get drunk, watch TV and get angry every time the doorbell rings and I have to get up from watching a marathon of whatever show or movie TBS decides to run all day. That doesn’t mean I don’t have some killer ideas to throw a Halloween Hot Tub Party (yes, that pun was intended)!

1. Every Costume Must Be Water Themed

You can dress up as a shark or a surfer or a guy that regularly visits Turkish bath houses. Just remember to keep it classy.

2. Surround Your Hot Tub With Lights

Make those lights red. Red is an evil color. Or even green.

3. Turn Your Hot Tub Into a Witch’s Cauldron

Phissh! Easy. Put some green lights in your hot tub, wrap the sides in black trash bags and make that thing bubble up.

4. Use Plastic Cups

If you are gonna be in the spa, and you’re gonna be drinking, be sure to use plastic cups. You don’t want glass cups breaking.

5. Decorate Around Your Hot Tub

Lean witches broomsticks against it, put pumpkins around it, just get creative!

6. Turn Your Spa Into A Halloween Game

Yes, I’m thinking bobbing for…something that’s safe. I’ll let you be the judge. It will make it more challenging if the jets are on

The bottom line is to have fun this Halloween and also to be safe. Hot tubs are a good time for everyone, but there is no excuse for not practicing safe hot tubbin’.
