Crusing Through Pool Care The Wise Way
"Anyone who's ever tried to make his or her way through a typical instruction manual knows humor and user-friendliness are usually in rare supply.....Wise's folksy manner has a way of simplifying what can be a rather dense subject matter." Aqua Magazine

Today is Blog Action Day. You may have seen in spread across the internet. If you don’t know what it is, it’s a day where all bloggers are to take one cause and talk about it. This year’s topic is water, and what better topic for Swim University to talk about. Our entire business is based on clean water, but not the kind you drink. Instead, today we are going to talk about the kind of water you drink and the lack of clean drinking water on this earth.
Did You Know?
Did you know that almost a billion (that’s right, A BILLION) people on this planet don’t have access to clean drinking water? We take for granted the fact that we have access to clean drinking water everyday. We don’t even think about. We can just walk up to any sink, water cooler or refrigerator and pour ourselves a glass of cold drinking water. We can go to ANY store, no matter what they sell, and probably buy a bottle of clean drinking water. It may be a little over-priced, but it’s clean and it won’t kill us.
Dirty drinking water and a basic lack of sanitation causes 80% of diseases. It kills more people every year than every form of violence you can think of. This even includes war. Kids are the most at risk because their under developed bodies and immune systems aren’t strong enough to fight off certain diseases that come from dirty drinking water including dysentery and diarrhea. 90% of those deaths that occur each week are children under 5 years old.
Creating Awareness & Taking Action
We need to do something to help and we here at Swim University will be donating to Charity Water to help bring clean drinking water to the people that truly need it. We would like to ask our readers to do the same. We know times are tough, but every little bit helps. For just $20, you can help bring clean drinking water to the people who need it.
Click here to donate to Swim University’s Charity Water Campaign. We are looking to raise ONLY $500 between now and December 31st. Every little bit counts.
Together, we can make a dent in the global water crisis. I hope you’ll consider helping.
