Over the past few days we have been experimenting with more tools we can bring to our visitors. Since then we built our pool algae calculator, which gives a simple answer: how much shock will it take to kill all the algae in our swimming pool. This calculator was created for chlorine pools only. All you need to do is pick how many gallons your swimming pool and what color your pool looks like. We give a very simple way to pick because each back of shock works for 10,000 gallons of water. So if you have an 11,000 gallon pool you should shock it like you have a 20,000 pool using 2 bags of shock.

After you enter your gallonage and what color your pool is from three choices including light green, dark green and black you are taken to a page that tells you exactly how many 1 lb. bags of shock you will need to kill the algae in your swimming pool. After that it tells you what method you will be using and directions on how to add shock to your swimming pool including some warning and notes.
