A company out of Britain is releasing a new product next month that they claim will revolutionize the pool industry. They contacted all the major swimming pool blogs to have us write something up about it. I, on the other hand, wouldn’t just write about a product without testing it first.

A few days ago, after they contacted me, they sent me the product in the mail. It’s called the Magic Pool Pill. I wasn’t a fan of the name at first, but that was until I tested it in my pool.

I’m trying not to build this up, but OMG! When I opened my pool this year, it was a solid dark green color (as it is every year with my mesh safety cover).  I dropped the pill, which is about the size of a normal chlorine stick, into my skimmer basket. Within 3 hours of running the filter, my pool was a cloudy blue. In about 2 hours after that, my pool was CRYSTAL CLEAR!!!

I had a hard time believing what I saw. I called the company and asked for them to send me another pill to take the test again at my neighbors house. It took 6 hours, but it did the same thing (his pool is a little larger, but was almost black in color).

They were dead on! This product will change the pool care industry as we know it. I wish it would come out sooner, but you can bet your sweet pool caring behinds that I will be talking about this product the whole summer. And so will the rest of the world.

By the way, April Fools!
