Working at a pool company, I get some insider information that I like to share with my readers or people who find this site. I have been asked by my company to put some of our used hot tubs and hot tubs we are trying to get rid of up on Craigslist. “It’s Free!” they say, which I can totally understand. Well, that got me thinking: Do other companies do this?
I started to do some research and I found out that in fact, they do! Pool and Spa News (a swimming pool industry magazine) wrote on article on how swimming pool and spa companies should start listing their hot tubs on Craigslist. I started looking around and sure enough, they’re up there. It’s nice to see the industry think outside the box like the rest of the world.
In conclusion, if you are in the market for a hot tub but aren’t looking to spend too much money, I would try Craigslist. Just be careful when you do. You don’t want to buy a hot tub from some dude out of his garage, who knows what kind of shape it’s in. Make sure they are a legitimate dealer and the price is good. I think it would be a pretty good place to start. You might even find a good hot tub dealer in your area that you didn’t even know about.
