It’s hurricane season, which is a scary one. Especially those folks in the lower half of the country. Today marks the day where Hurricane Earl touches the shores of North Carolina and possibly travels up north. As far as the weekend is concerned, it’s gonna be a dreary one. This week (here in NJ) it’s been in the 90′s. Today the temperature dropped and now we are hovering at about 80 and even lower tonight. This whole weekend will be rainy and not that hot. This means, a lot of people will be thinking about closing down their pools. However…
This weekend is Labor Day, perhaps the greatest non-American, non-Religious holiday there is. That’s right Halloween! You lose because we don’t get off from work on October 31st. The only issue with Labor Day, for some, is that it marks Back-To-School time for parents and for kids. It’s also, to some, the unofficial end of summer. Students will agree and so will parents of these students. They think, it’s time to close up the pool. If I had to be a physic (which I’m not and never will be), I would predict a hot September (potential band name, feel free to use it).
So, my advice is, keep that swimming pool open till Halloween. Imagine bobbing for apples in your pool. It would take all night.
