Weekend Outlook: SPRING!!!

Crusing Through Pool Care The Wise Way

"Anyone who's ever tried to make his or her way through a typical instruction manual knows humor and user-friendliness are usually in rare supply.....Wise's folksy manner has a way of simplifying what can be a rather dense subject matter." Aqua Magazine

In case you didn’t know already, I live in NJ. We, again, have had an incredibly snowy winter. State of Emergency after State of Emergency. Our (lame) governor had to borrow all kinds of cash just to clean up. He also just borrowed more money because of the flooding we just had; it’s a mess.

With all that said, it’s finally over. We’ve passed by Groundhog’s Day which boosted us towards St.Patrick’s day and daylight savings, and now we are on the verge of spring, the greatest season for the pool industry. It’s a time of year where people start to walk outside with no jackets or a light cardigan and smell the air which is rich with flowers and shrubbery.  Yes, we have made it through the long winter and now we can focus on the outsides of our homes…ugh!

All that means is “more chores” to some, but to others it means SWIMMING!!! Pool season is my favorite time of year (besides snowboading season and foliage season). Ok, bascially I love the whole damn year. Every season has something good to offer me; except the summer. It can get really hot and I hate to sweat when I’m not working out, but that’s what a pool is for. It’s a means of cooling off. It’s how the cavemen did it (I suspect).

So anyway, this Sunday marks the first day of spring and it will be time to start thinking about opening your pool. You know that SwimUniversity is the place to go when you have questions, comments and concerns about your pool. We are here for you 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Don’t hesitate to ask a question to one of our pool experts or check out our supply of how-to videos. Everything you need is right here at your fingertips.

Enjoy your first spring weekend!
