Above ground pool ladders are an essential piece of the puzzle when it comes to having a swimming pool in your backyard. Without it, it would be hard to get in and out of your pool as you can imagine. The good part is there is a variety of ladder styles to choose from if you are looking to get one for your new pool or you’re replacing one you already own.
Deck to Pool Ladder
This type of ladder is pretty self-explanatory but this is any ladder that goes from your swimming pool deck and into your pool. So the ladder is bolted to your pool deck for leverage. Now with this type of ladder you can choose between getting a ladder or a pool step. So if you have elderly people or live with someone who is handicapped it would be wise to invest in a pool step. Basically it’s a staircase to get in and out of your swimming pool. Even if you’re not elderly or handicapped the pool step is a wise choice simply for it’s durability and the fact that it can last a lot longer than a normal ladder.
A-Frame Ladder or Ground to Pool Ladder
This type a ladder is a must have for people who have an above ground swimming pool with no deck. So you need an easy way to get into your pool from the ground up and into your pool. There are three different types you can choose here. You can get a standard A-frame ladder that is a ladder up and a ladder down into your pool. You can get an A-Frame ladder and a pool step in your pool, so that you are using a ladder to climb up and a step easing down into your pool. Your last choice is a getting a pool step up and a pool step down into your pool. This type is the easiest but definitely the most expensive of the three. Of course you can skip all these steps and just get a deck but hey, not everyone can have a deck.
