Custom Pool Chemical Ranges

This update brings one of our most requested features: the ability to set your own custom chemical ranges. Plus, we’ve smoothed out the salt reading slider and made some performance improvements under the hood.

You asked, we built it. You can now set your own target ranges for every chemical reading in the app!

When you first start the app, we set the chemical ranges we think your pool should be at. But maybe you have specific preferences, or your test strips or test kits recommend slightly different ranges. Now you can adjust them yourself.

Head to your pool’s settings (the gear icon at the top), scroll down to Chemical Settings, and you’ll see sliders for chlorine, pH, alkalinity, stabilizer (cyanuric acid), and calcium hardness. Drag them to whatever range works best for you, hit save, and your next water test will use your new targets.

For example, we recommend keeping alkalinity between 80 and 120 ppm. But if you prefer a higher range, you can bump it up to 100 to 150 ppm. Totally up to you.

We still recommend our default ranges as a starting point, but we wanted to give you the flexibility to make the app work the way you want. And as we add more chemicals to the app, those will be adjustable here, too.

Bug Fixes and Improvements 🔧

• Salt reading slider is less sensitive. The salt reading slider was a little too touchy, making it harder to dial in your exact number. It’s much smoother now.
• We’ve also made some style fixes and performance improvements throughout the app to keep things running fast and looking clean.
