How to Make Your Own All-Natural Bug Spray
Lately, I’ve been trying to be a little more earth-friendly. Yes, that means I’ve started composting, recycling… you know, hippie stuff.
It may have a bad rep among you “cool kids,” but you should try to live your life a little more natural. Not just being “green,” but eating and using all-natural products. When it comes to food, I usually stay away from boxed or canned stuff. It’s loaded with salt, preservatives, and unnecessary chemicals (here’s the pool guy talking about chemicals).
I’ve been looking for alternative ways to be more natural. A few weeks ago I blogged about natural sunscreen using food. Did you know that eating tomatoes protects your skin from the sun? And last Friday, I made my own homemade pickles! They were WAAAAYYYY better than the store bought kind. Trust me, I love pickles.
When I thought about the chemicals we use in lotions, soaps, and shampoos, I got to thinking about bug spray. Every time I go outside for a long period of time, and there is bug spray around, I usually spray myself down like a car in a paint shop. And I always get back-spray in my mouth and it’s disgusting!
I searched the internet high and low for the perfect homemade bug spray recipe and I finally found one from delicious wife.
