Hot Tub Parts

Looking for hot tub parts then you have come to the right place. This article will help you in starting your search for the right hot tub parts to fix your spa yourself.

Maintenance and repair.  These are two things that every product under the sun needs.  Your car has a shop, your cable has a guy, and your computer has a geek (preferably several geeks arranged into a squad).  Your hot tub being just as expensive and important an investment into your life as the aforementioned items, it’s occasionally going to need a tune-up.

This brings us, as do all things, to money.  One of the hallmarks of the frugal (and the just plain smart and self-sufficient) is the do-it-yourself attitude that turns a several hundred dollar problem into a $50 one.  In today’s economy, of course, the one who can change their own oil or fix their own laptop has quite an advantage over the technophobic masses.   Why should hot tub repair and maintenance be any different?

Provided you’re ready to be the tinkering type (and provided you want to save hundreds in labor costs), all you need to keep your spa in tip-top running shape is a reliable source of hot tub replacement parts.  A trustworthy, efficient, knowledgeable, and convenient source for those parts is indispensable, of course.

So, in order to care for your hot tub, you will need to know the basics about how your hot tub functions (and yes, we will continue to refer to it as a “hot tub,” not “Jacuzzi.”  Jacuzzi is a particular brand name of appliances that includes hot tubs, but should not be used as a blanket term).  As you know, it’s a big, really comfortable bathtub with several jets located within its structure.  These jets are the most complex aspect of the tub’s design, and thus the most likely to need maintenance and/or repair.  Powered electrically, the jets use propulsion to force air and water outward towards your tender, grateful muscles.  In order to fix, or even replace these jets, a variety of parts may be necessitated including, but not limited to, motors, adhesives, air components, wring and electrical components (always fun when mixed with water), filters, harnesses, and bases.

To order any of these things without some professional guidance is not recommended.  Regardless of how handy you may be, you don’t want to order what you think is the right part, only to end up frustrated despite your best efforts.  This brings us to the aforementioned reliable sources for said parts.  This website recommends several:

SpaCare- The OG of spa parts distributors, SpaCare stocks the most eclectic and thorough catalog of parts, from a multitude of brand manufacturers.  Based on the sheer size of their inventory as well as their technical service, SpaCare is the go-to for businesses to order parts.  Unfortunately, if you are not a retailer you can’t buy directly from them.  However, you can request that your retailer go through them for the best quality.

Northcoast Spa- A specialty Jacuzzi parts distributor, they offer very competitive prices on the most popular brand’s parts.  They are not limited to Jacuzzi, however, and stock parts from Hayward, Acura, GG, Waterway and others.

Hot Tub Essentials-Specializing in spa ozonators, covers, cover lifts, hot tub chemicals, spa accessories, spar parts, pumps, heaters, fragrances, filters, and replacement filter cartridges

Spa Guts – Strong inventory including packs, controllers, heaters, pumps, motors, blowers, ozonators, filter systems, covers, spa jets, plumbing parts, and bath heaters. Spa Guts also offers spa covers, which are inestimably important for those of us with outdoor hot tubs.  Being a protective item, they are by definition wear and tear items that require replacement every few years.

When approaching any of these companies to order hot tub replacement parts, the most important thing is to know exactly the make and model of your hot tub.  Come prepared.  To exhaust the car metaphor further, it’s exactly like calling an auto parts dealer- given the specifics of the tub, the salesperson will usually know exactly what you need and what you need to do with it. That is, assuming you’re ready to take matters into your own capable hands. If you have a jacuzzi tub or a bath tub with jets, check out this article about bath tub shower faucets to find out more information. Hot tubs can be built into your bathroom or external.
